Price per sale lot

Budgiv takes the entire estate to market and reports what happened to each sale lot. One agreement with us — not the cherries to one firm and the rest left with you. The price is set per sale lot, and you see the number of sale lots and the total cost before the assignment begins.

A sale lot is a self-contained selling unit: a single object, a batch, or a consignment of several items.

Example: an estate with 28 items. Eighteen items are published as one batch and ten as another. That is two sale lots — not 28.

The two outcomes

What you pay for is that the assets are tested against the market — and that the test can be documented, regardless of how it ends.

If the sale lot is sold

The report shows what the market paid: where it was offered, over what period, on which channels and what outcome it achieved. Individual bids are reported when the channel discloses them.

If it is not sold

The report shows that several independent channels displayed the sale lot over the stated period without a bid coming in. That is the documentation you need to demonstrate that the assets were in fact tested against the market — and it is often harder to obtain after the fact than a receipt for a sale that did take place.

Both paths end with you being able to report what happened to each lot.

The fee

The fee is determined when the sale lot is published and is calculated on the starting value — it is not affected by what the assets are subsequently sold for. The fee applies even if the sale lot is not sold. The test has been carried out and documented in both cases.

This is intentional. A fee that grows with the final price gives whoever documents the sale an interest in the outcome. Our fee is locked before the first bid is placed.

The reason is that we take the entire estate. Whoever picks the cherries can take a commission; whoever takes everything cannot — and what nobody wants is precisely what is hardest to dispose of, and heaviest to account for.

The report — the proof, not the product

The report is the reason the outcome can be trusted: a signed, verifiable document that shows how the assets were tested against the market. It holds up because Budgiv does not own the marketplace — the bids are formed at a third party — and because the fee is never calculated on the final price. We have nothing to gain from the figure being high.

What the report can attest to depends on what the channel discloses. Channels that report individual bids give a bid chain — each bid with its timestamp and amount, the number of bidders, and whether the sale lot received more than one bid. Channels that report only the outcome give exposure, time and final outcome. That is why the tiers below differ: each tier reports exactly what the chosen channel discloses.

The tiers

Basic — 1 990 kr excl. VAT (2 488 kr incl. VAT) per sale lot

Publication on the chosen channel, an ongoing exposure log, a documented outcome and a verifiable Realisation Report.

The report states where the sale lot was offered, over what period, and what sale outcome it achieved. Individual bids are reported when the channel discloses them.

Suitable for household goods, movable property and assets suited to auction houses — where the house is one of the channels.

Pro — 4 900 kr excl. VAT (6 125 kr incl. VAT) + 0.5 % of the starting value per sale lot

The fee on the starting value amounts to at most 9 900 kr excl. VAT (12 375 kr incl. VAT).

Everything in Basic, and in addition a documented bid chain: each bid with its timestamp and amount, the number of bidders and a note when only one bid was received.

Requires that the sale lot is published on at least one channel that discloses individual bids. Which bid data the chosen channel discloses is stated in the assignment confirmation before publication — we do not charge for a bid chain that the channel does not provide us.

Suitable for machinery, vehicles, stock and inventory in bankruptcy, reconstruction and liquidation.

Larger estates and procured assignments

For bankruptcy estates with many sale lots, municipal disposals and assignments with special reporting requirements, we provide a quotation. Contact us and we will go through the scope before anything is published.

An assignment with Budgiv normally falls within the direct-procurement threshold — 700 000 kr (LOU) and 1 200 000 kr (LUF) respectively as of 1 January 2026. Contact us and we will go through the scope before anything is published.

This applies at all tiers

We do not set the value. The starting value is determined by you or by the valuer you engage. We propose no price and recommend no price level. The Realisation Report is not a valuation.

The fee is calculated on the starting value, never on the final price.

The number of channels is a selection, not a price tier. A sale lot is published on the channels that suit the assets, and the fee is the same.

The auction house can be one of the channels. When an auction house is the right channel we arrange the consignment and coordinate the process. You enter into the house's terms of sale, while we hold together channel selection, documentation and reporting.

The report also reports what is missing. That a value was not set, that only one bid was received or that a fact could not be established is stated in the document. An absence that is reported is a finding. An absence that is omitted is a deficiency.

The division into sale lots. We propose how the assets are divided up, based on which channel suits each part. You see the division and the total price before anything is published, and you can request a different division.

The report can be verified by anyone, without an account with us and without relying on our word. How verification works →
